Free to View: articles over three years old, not now subject to access control, freely available to both subscribers and non-subscribers.
Pay per View (PPV): articles purchased singly for immediate online access.
Pay per Subscription (PPS): individuals, not institutions or libraries, who have purchased Personal subscriptions permitting them online access, that access being controlled by username/password.
IP controlled (IP): articles published within the last three years, where online access is restricted to those with paid subscriptions and controlled by the IP address range presented by the user (typically a university library and anyone using its all-campus network).
