EARLY CHILDHOOD AUSTRALIA
AECA, established in 1938, this is a non-profit organisation that acts in the interests of children from birth to eight years of age and for older children in outside schools hours care. It actively promotes the provision of high quality services for all young children and their families. AECA is also a leading specialist publisher of early childhood literature and publications. These publications include the Australian Journal of Early Childhood, the quarterly Every Child magazine and Research in Practice Series. In addition, the Association markets books and videos on early childhood topics.
RECONCEPTUALISING EARLY CHILDHOOD
This is a special interest group for early childhood educators who come together each year to discuss cutting-edge research, theory and practice. There is no formal organisation, no membership charge (other than the annual conference fee) and no official publication other than the web site - where you can find more information, including forthcoming conferences.
